Ladies and gentlemen, please, let me introduce to you a new brand to me that I recently tried. It is the Portuguese Flannel which I have in my mind. They are making flannel shirts over four generations which means that there is some serious know-how. Prague based Gentleman store started to offer some pieces for the first time. This fact might be a good sign for you if you live in the Czech Republic and you'd like to try a shirt on before buying. It is closer than Portugal or Portuguese Flannel website for sure.
Shirts themselves are quite exciting. Some of them might be a little bit itchy, but most of them are very warm and comfortable. As it states by Portuguese flannel, they are using only the most delicate fabrics that are produced traditionally, selecting only the finest ones. They don't follow any trends. However, the inspiration comes from coast and mountains with challenging ways of living and aims to a timeless design.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover these shirts as they may be quite versatile in your closet. Use them just as they are, as a layer over a t-shirt, with a suit or outdoor clothes like a Barbour jacket or sweater. In every case, you will feel warm and comfortable, especially in Autumn as I would not be afraid to pull these shirts out in Spring as well.
You can choose from simple colours like white, grey, blue or some more special ones like mustard. Alternatively, go for heavyweight flannel to be prepared for your most challenging days spend outside to the mercy of cold and wind. You'll be prepared for anything.
