Double-Breasted Cashmere Coat
Suitsupply brown double-breasted cashmere coat and grey wool trousers | Massimo Dutti wool and cashmere rollneck | Manemo made to measure navy wool suit | Bespoke cotton white shirt | John & Paul burgundy silk tie | Berwick tan loafers | Pantherella Waddington cashmere socks
I have always admired beautiful coats. The perfect cut, material looks so naturally on the silhouette; in short, you can notice perfect coat from far. At the beginning of the winter, I decided to reward myself with a new coat. And in Suitsupply they had this one, pure cashmere, double-breasted, perfect cut with beautiful peaked lapels. My decision was pretty fast, and now I'm here, telling you my experiences when it comes to my first cashmere coat.
When I unpacked the coat from the box, I was surprised that it is quite thin. But incredibly soft and pleasant, typical when touching cashmere. Usually, I prefer to have my clothes made to measure or altered by my tailor; however, when it comes to coats, Suitsupply coats sit on me very well without any customizations. When wearing it, I must say it is very warm and the fact that it is thin I already forgot. At least you won't feel that you are too bulky.
As planned, I wear it in a formal way as well as in casual. And those two I wanted to show you today, how it looks dressed up or dressed down. The beautiful brown colour I did not have in my closet until now, or any brown in that matter so I'm enjoying that subtle refresh brought to my style.
A formal outfit is based on my bespoke white cotton shirt and made to measure suit in classic navy wool. A burgundy silk tie with floral print and tan loafers worn with black cashmere socks accompanies the base of the outfit. With this, I also wanted to compliment my latest post about socks, where I inform you, that thanks to cashmere socks you may also wear loafers in colder weather when conditions are ideally not wet, not snowing and above zero. Well, here's your proof.
In a casual variant, I'm wearing soft rollneck made of wool and cashmere and light grey wool trousers with a slightly looser fit. It's very comfortable, and in my opinion, it still looks sharp. Loafers with cashmere socks stay from previous formal one, no need for change there from my point of view. Loafers are an excellent choice for both options.
Anyway, my resume is that this outstanding coat compliments for formal outfits as well as for casual. You can play with it infinitely; if worn with a hoodie or casual sweater, the result will be as well perfect.
Yours sincerely,
Denis
