Curated A/W pieces by me

Here we go again. A/W season already started and naturally with it, I need to please me and my audience with tips how to enlighten wardrobe for these upcoming cold mornings and later freezing days.

Casatlantic

What I already buy myself are part of the collection from Casatlantic. For three years in a row now, once a year I always order a new knitted polo in summer from Casatlantic. This year I also dived in in winter collection as well. Their new campaign is stunning and I would very much love to wear any piece from this current collection. Not to mention their styling is absolute A-game. Please yourself with their looks, my favourite garments by Casatlantic (below) and see their collection here.

Hiking boots by Morjas

Even one of the Casatlantic looks used it and also JKF in post on PS pointed them out. Always wanted to something like this, but it is usually not nice enough, weird or incredibly expensive. 400 EUR is not cheap but it is not terrible price point either. As one of my most used shoes in winter are black boots in grained leather, I do believe I’d have a lot of use for these. Chinos, wool trousers or even some commando Bond inspired outfit would work perfectly.

ALbert velvet slippers by Crockett & Jones - Bond coat of arms (60th Ann. of Goldfinger)

I always dreamed about velvet slippers (or any slippers for that matter). And limited edition with Bond coat of arms? I couldn’t be more excited. As for the question, where to wear it, I am certainly not afraid to admit that count of such occasions is surely limited. However, this may be the correct thing what makes it so desirable within menswear enthusiasts and decadent. When you put it once in a while on your feet, it creates a feel of festivity and special moments. Find it here.

New 24/25 holiday collection by Ralph Lauren

As usual, RL puts some effort into the collection. And thanks to that, you can effortless look great not only during holiday christmas season. Whether you like festive jackets, tailored trousers, checked shirts, heavy weight henleys or stylish accessories, you can find it here. For people living in Czech Republic like I do, you may visit their new Prague store and don’t forget - since RL prices went up and after all, it is still “only” ready to wear… you may primarily use it as inspiration. And you can take that inspiration with you and visit your local tailor. In Prague or actually anywhere in Czech Republic I would highly recommend The Owners as I cannot recommend anyone else at the moment for such a great MTM experience.

Gieves & Hawkes blackwatch tartan trousers

Again, piece of clothing that is on my list for a long time. Blackwatch tartan trousers. Could be worn with as black tie, possibly morning dress. Could be worn with a jacket or a blazer. Could be worn with field jacket, Barbour jacket or chunky knitwear for rural or country look. I am always amazed by such wide range of use. In the end I never wanted to spend so much for these because I know that navy chinos or grey flannel suit I’ll be wearing more often, but it never came off my list. In case you have basics covered or just enjoy to go bold more often, these are trousers to consider. Don’t fix choice only for Gieves & Hawkes. I remember Campbell’s of Beauly making these as well or I am certain your local tailor can make these for you as well.

Berg & Berg tweed raglan coat

When I saw this I’d say I might give Berg & Berg another shot. I already have raglan coat from them - review here. This coat however feels like material-wise it could be something what i expected back then. Heavier weight, more structured. This specific colour looks like it could work with pretty much anything as I am looking to rule out one of my older coats to swap it with a new one. DB polo coat in brown or camel would be one choice but grey is wise choice for many years to come as well. If you read my review of Berg & Berg raglan coat, you’ll find out how many ways there is to wear it, which makes owning one quite fun.
