The shirt with a cuban collar

I admired this Cuban collar quite a lot last year or so. I love how retro it can be worn with a tailored jacket. However, most of these models are worn with short sleeves, which can be convenient given that this collar is more summer garment. Yet, I wasn't feeling quite ready for short sleeves, but I loved the model. So I reached the best tailor in Prague, and my friend Michal Trnka and here is the result.

Long sleeve, which is most of the time rolled up, was the right way. Also, now, if I get more used to it may consider getting the short one in the future. I was sure I want stripes but wasn't certain how to approach this wish of mine. Michal coincidentally made one for himself not so long ago with brown stripes, which were pretty nice. So we settled on the same pattern but in blue.

Besides that, I requested a comfort cut, and Michal recommended a straight line where the bottom of the shirt ends, which is something else and looks informal in an interesting way when worn, not tucked in.

In short, this is something playful, and if you have enough classic shirts, this one is a good idea to play with. Moreover, the possibility of wearing it is in summer quite extended.

Here I combine it with blue cotton shorts by Mr. P, Massimo Dutti dark brown suede loafers and a Tonak straw hat.

Yours Sincerely,
